Every year our faculty host over 150 undergraduate and MS students for internships in their world-class laboratories to jointy advance new knowledge and fuel innovations in science and engineering.
This fully funded and free research internship opportunity is available to top performing undergraduate and Masters students and covers on campus housing, airfare, health insurance, and includes a monthly living allowance.
A fully equipped system of cross-disciplinary, inter-connected, state-of-the-art scientific research labs; all staffed by experts in their fields. All students have access to use and be trained on the equipment.

Specialized and tailor-made agreements between universities during which students are awarded the KAUST Fellowship.
The 3+2 Degree Program in Material Science and Engineering between SCUT and KAUST offers an opportunity for SCUT students to benefit from the culturally diverse atmosphere, friendly research groups, well-established lab facilities and generous studentship support provided by the KAUST community. The partnership developed through this joint degree program will facilitate future interactions between research scientists via student exchange. My working on the SCUT-KAUST program discussion has been an exciting and rewarding experience. The KAUST International Programs Office shares internship program information with our students and runs webinars actively helping students to explore study resources and cutting-edge research in KAUST."
